Kalpitiya has been a transit point for many Dolphins and Whales in the Indian Ocean. During most of the year, you can see them not too far from the shore. Best time to go Dolphin spotting is either in the mornings or in the evenings.
Swimming with Dolphins is a very special experience and Kalpitiya, Sri Lanka is one of the best places in the world to try!
November to April is the best period to watch Dolphins. In other times , sea is rough It is hard to travel.
