TURTLE POINT LODGE AND DIVING CAMP is situated near the small fishing village of Kandakuliya on the west coast of the Puttalam district of Sri Lanka, approximately 6 km from Kalpitiya itself. The lodge is a true escape from modern-day civilisation as guests can enjoy the romanticism of using oil lamps instead of electricity.
Flaming torches light up the outside area from which guests can relax and marvel at the beautiful open starry skies whilst enjoying a hearty barbecue dinner of locally caught fresh fish or having a go at making the traditional Sri Lankan ‘kotthu roti'! A night at the lodge wouldn't be complete without a walk along the deserted beach to look for the sea turtles that come ashore to lay eggs – an unforgettable experience that is not to be missed!
